Mission
Financial literacy resources are often dry, complex, and inaccessible to Gen Z audiences. Our challenge was to reimagine how a legacy financial institution could connect with a younger demographic using emerging technology.
My Contributions
I led the UX/UI design for 'FinLife Gen', an AI-powered app concept. I mapped out the user journeys, designed the gamified interface in Figma, and developed the strategy for integrating Gemini to provide personalized financial coaching. The project served as a masterclass in rapid prototyping and AI-driven UX design.
Impact
The project demonstrated how AI could be humanized to solve complex anxiety-inducing problems like personal finance. We successfully validated a model where gamification and AI co-exist.
The Anxiety Gap
Research showed that Gen Z is anxious about money but avoids traditional advice. We needed a solution that felt less like a bank and more like a supportive coach. I defined our core design principle: 'Radical Simplicity'.

Process & Ideation
The project required rapid iteration. We started by mapping out the core user journey, focusing on reducing friction in the onboarding process and making financial concepts easy to grasp through visual storytelling.

Humanizing AI with Gemini
We chose Gemini not just for its data processing, but for its ability to simulate conversation. I designed a chat interface that acted as a 'Financial Big Sibling', translating complex jargon into plain, actionable language.

Gamification of savings
To build habits, I introduced game mechanics. Users wouldn't just 'save money'; they would 'unlock levels' of financial freedom. The UI reflected this with vibrant progress bars, achievement badges, and celebratory micro-interactions, making the mundane act of saving feel rewarding.
